David originally wrote this article as a blog about his work with sharks following a successful year of diving and shooting wildlife in 2007. The story chronicles how David utilized Natural Horse-Man-Ship techniques to enable photographer Will Allen to capture a Gates Housing advertising still which featured David “nose to nose” with a mature Sand Tiger shark.

“How Horse Savvy Saved the Shark Shoot.” In an article for the Parelli’s quarterly magazine, David described how his methodology for interacting with sharks was grounded in the Parelli Natural Horsemanship program. Having worked with horses for much of his life, David related how he utilized his acquired skills to nail the Gates advertisement still.
