We are very excited about production on our latest documentary project which follows a dozen of the world’s top scuba divers and historians as they plunge 235 feet below the surface of the Atlantic to examine and document the United States’ most famous Civil War ironclad, the USS Monitor.  The wreck lies 16 miles off the Outer Banks of North Carolina and, since 2006, we have been privileged to be among the select few granted brief annual access to this U.S. National Marine Sanctuary.

In 2008, along with wood samples for NOAA, we came back with hours of HD footage for our documentary about expedition diving and the importance of national marine sanctuaries.  The program is now in post production, and will hit the underwater film festival circuit when finishing funds become available.   For information, go to:

Expanding the scope of our current projects, Sub-Aquatic Survivor is a story about scuba divers who are willing to go all the way to the cutting edge of their sport, and the skills and discipline required to get them there.   We recently wrapped shooting in Ocala, Florida. The program is in post production, and it will nicely compliment the “Return To Monitor” on the film festival circuit.

Going Down - ShrimpTank Productions

Beginning in the spring of 2008, we pointed our creative compass in a new direction and dedicated a significant portion of our time and resources toward the creation of two documentary style television series.   Because of the nature of the television industry, we are unable to reveal specifics about these programs at this time; however, we can say we’re looking forward to delivering never-before-seen content that will revolutionize the way sharks are depicted, perceived and understood!

Connecting the Dots: Whale Sharks
Around the World

As the largest fish in the ocean, whale sharks are surprisingly the least understood and most mysterious. To watch a whale shark swim past opens your heart to understanding just how small we humans are in the scheme of things, and brings home the realization of how little we really know.

In this documentary, a multi-disciplinary team comes together from around the globe to share their knowledge and research in order to develop cutting edge methods by which they hope to learn more about this threatened marine species.  In this program, viewers will gain an in-depth look at how science and nature combine to ultimately reveal that whale sharks may well be the key to protecting and preserving our oceans and our planet.

For KPI.  MysteryQuest is a new series that dispatches teams of experts throughout the world to try to solve some of mankind's strangest and most persistent mysteries. Top experts in their fields launch expeditions to gather evidence in mysteries like the Bermuda Triangle, the Zodiac serial killer, and Atlantis. A science team then conducts a forensic examination of the evidence using the latest technologies. Each episode presents a thorough step-by-step investigation of the mystery and by the end the teams reveal results that in some cases just may re-write history.

Valeo Films Inc. was contracted to shoot aerial and underwater sequences for two of the episodes to date  - The Devil’s Triangle and Lost City of Atlantis.

Undersea Expeditionary Video Services is constantly growing and evolving in exciting sectors of the scuba industry.  On this page you will find information about projects we are producing, as well as those in which we participated.

In 2007, I joined two projects as dive team member and underwater cameraman: Dan Crowell's "WWII Underwater" and KPI's "Quest for Sunken Warships," a four-part special series for the Military Channel. "Quest", originally titled “Sea Battles", takes viewers through some of the most awe-inspiring wrecks in the world while telling the dramatic stories of what sent these ships to the bottom. Our focus was to shed light on the most fascinating conflicts fought on the oceans’ battlefields.

USS Murphy - (WWII Destroyer)

Operation Hailstone (Truk Lagoon)

USS Oriskany - (US Aircraft Carrier)

Torpedo Alley (US Eastern Seaboard)
