David is proud to announce his selection as UnderwaterVideography.com’s inaugural Featured Videographer of the Month for January 2010.

An exciting new addition to UWV’s website, every month an underwater videographer from within their online network will be selected as a feature for the following month. Subjects will include professional videographers and aspiring professionals, who UWV feels are doing their part to not only produce world class underwater videos, but are also doing it while being responsible and aware of how their actions may or may not affect our environment.

David is honored to have been chosen as UWV’s first featured professional videographer, and he hopes you enjoy his highlights

MysteryQuest - New Series for History Channel

MysteryQuest is a new series produced by KPI that dispatches teams of experts throughout the world in an effort to solve some of mankind's strangest and most persistent mysteries.

Top experts in their fields launch expeditions to gather evidence in mysteries such as the Bermuda Triangle, the Zodiac serial killer, and Atlantis. A science team then conducts a forensic examination of the evidence using cutting edge technologies. Each episode presents a thorough step-by-step investigation of the mystery, and at the end the teams reveal results which in some cases just may re-write history.

VFI/UEV was contracted to shoot aerial and underwater sequences for two of the episodes - The Devil’s Triangle and Lost City of Atlantis.

David Ulloa named as Advanced Diver Magazine Video Chief of Staff

Changing web technology has resulted in widespread acceptance of faster video feeds through the net. With such content’s increasing popularity, Rebreatherworld.com and Advanced Diver Magazine recognize they must expand their offerings to better serve the demands of their ever-increasing dive community.

To help meet this need, ADM and RBW announced the appointment of their new video Chief of Staff, David Ulloa, President of Valeo Films, Inc.

David will be featured in each issue of the magazine via his regular video column, and will periodically share his insights on Rebreatherworld. In addition, the ADM Exploration Foundation has invited Undersea Expeditionary Video Services core personnel and staff to participate on its future international expeditions and events.

On May 27th, Valeo Films broadcast an Internet first: never-before-seen live webcast of a ship being scuttled offshore. The retired USNV Gen. Hoyt Vandenberg was sunk on May 27th seven miles off the coast of Key West, FL for the purpose of establishing an artificial reef. The website SinkTheVandenberg.com is the porthole by which to view the live video of the sinking and short subject documentaries about the ship and what it took to make the worlds second largest artificial reef.
