Current Projects

Updated February 4, 2008

In 2007, I signed on as a dive team member and underwater cameraman on two projects: Dan Crowell's "WWII Underwater" and KPI's "Quest for Sunken Warships," a four-part special series for the Military Channel. "Quest", originally titled "Sea Battles", takes viewers through some of the most awe-inspiring wrecks in the world while telling the stories of what sent these ships to the bottom. Our focus is to shed light on some of the most fascinating conflicts fought on the ocean's battlefields.

Undersea Expeditionary Video Services is constantly growing, expanding and evolving in many areas of the scuba industry.    On this page you will find information on projects that we are either producing or participating in.

I'm very excited about production on my latest documentary project about an expedition I was on to the famous civil war ironclad, USS Monitor.  The wreck is about 25 miles off of the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  Along with wood samples for NOAA, we came back with hours of HD footage for our documentary about expedition diving.   The program will begin post production this winter and will be on the underwater film festival circuit by this summer.

Our newest project is a documentary about scuba divers who are willing to go to the cutting edge of their sport and the skills and discipline required to get them there.   We recently wrapped shooting in Ocala, Florida at this year’s camp.   Post production begins this winter, and it will nicely compliment the “Return To Monitor” on the film festival circuit.

“Just-A-Bit About” is a documentary series that scratches the surface of scuba diving activities.    This new DVD series focuses primarily on the how's and why's of specific scuba diving activities and/or destinations.

As the desire and need for scuba diving diversity increases, so do the questions about local practices and customs.   This video series looks at the sometimes-subtle differences that make a diving location or activity unique and special.  (i.e.  wreck diving in the New Jersey is very different from wreck diving in Florida.)

The range and depth of the series is virtually unlimited in that there are as many different types of diving styles and practices as there are diving locations.  Each episode in the series is 40 to 60 minutes in length and is presented as an informational overview of an activity.    In widescreen format and digital stereo, look for these episodes through your local dive shops or online.
